It’s Monday afternoon, and since I have the day off from my full-time job, I have written up multiple blog posts. This, is one of them. While I write this, snow is coming down at a pretty fast rate, and from what I’ve been reading, it’s only supposed to snow harder as the day progresses. This got me thinking – “Does mustard have anything to do with a snowstorm?” You may be thinking that I’m absolutely crazy, but here are three (absolutely crazy) ways mustard can help you get through any snow storm. **Let’s assume, you just bought a jar at the grocery store**
1. It will break your car window
I’m sure it’s happened too you – you’ve locked your keys out of the car, it’s ten below outside, and you have a screaming child in one arm. With no one in the parking lot, you can use your jar of mustard to break the car window and get home safely – albeit, maybe a little chilly from the giant broken window.
2. A Snowed-in Snack
Number one was a little extreme, but let’s say you make it home, you’re sitting on the couch, and the only thing on TV is Storage Wars. You’ve already seen every episode, so why not snack on some pretzels? What goes great with pretzels? Mustard of course! The repeats of storage wars have been made so much better because you’re snacking on some delicious gourmet mustard.
3. Mustard helps you build bigger muscles so you can shovel out the driveway
I just read this in Men’s Health, so not sure if it’s true, but here’s what they said: “Mustard may help you build bigger muscles. When scientists at Rutgers fed rats…..the rats muscle fibers increased in size and number.” Of course, more research is needed to see if mustard has the same effect on humans. I wonder who comes up with these theories?
Do you have any other ways mustard could help in a snowstorm?
